- USER'S GUIDE
- ------------
-
- This folder contains clip art in three categories which can be
- used in a variety of programs. If your application is not listed,
- please refer to your program's manual for compatibility.
-
- EPS ART
- -------
- EPS (Encapsulated PostScript): These illustrations can be opened
- and manipulated in draw programs (such as Illustrator, FreeHand,
- and Canvas). Or, they can be placed as-is in page layout
- programs (such as QuarkXPress, PageMaker, and Ready, Set, Go!).
- EPS images can also be opened in Adobe Photoshop, but they will
- be converted to bitmap form. Their filenames end in ".EPS."
-
- TIFF ART
- --------
- TIFF (Tagged Image File Format): These illustrations can be
- opened and manipulated in image editing programs (such as
- Photoshop). They can also be placed as-is in page layout programs
- (such as QuarkXPress, PageMaker, and Ready, Set, Go!) and in some
- draw programs (such as Illustrator, FreeHand, and Canvas). Their
- filenames end in ".TIF."
-
- 3-D ART
- -----------
- Each 3-D image is saved in three formats:
-
- * RAY DREAM DESIGNER, VERSION 3: These 3-D images are saved with
- colors and texture maps, but without lights and camera settings.
- They can be opened in Ray Dream Designer, version 3 or 4, where
- you can manipulate them in 3-D space, adjust objects, apply
- colors and texture maps, create camera settings or perform other
- operations. Their filenames end in ".RD3."
-
- * DXF: These 3-D images are saved without colors and texture
- maps. They can be opened in any compatible 3-D program, where you
- can scale them, apply colors and texture maps, create camera
- settings, or perform other operations. PLEASE NOTE: Files saved
- in DXF format may not match the thumbnails in your printed index,
- as texture maps and coloring may change in the DXF
- interpretation. Also note that DXF creates files with very large
- file sizes, so your computer must have sufficient RAM to open
- them. Their filenames end in ".DXF."
-
- * TIFF: These images were rendered at a resolution of 266 dpi in
- Ray Dream Designer, then converted to CMYK color mode in Adobe
- Photoshop. They are 5 inches at their largest dimension. These
- illustrations can be opened and manipulated in image editing
- programs (such as Photoshop). They can also be placed as-is in
- page layout programs (such as QuarkXPress, PageMaker, and Ready,
- Set, Go!) and in some draw programs (such as Illustrator,
- FreeHand, and Canvas). Their filenames end in ".TIF."
